It was formed in the year 1953 it was bifurcated from Madras presidency.
The main languages spoken are Telugu, Hindi English & Urdu.

The initial separation of the state was on the basis of language and later on the basics of the region which lead to the new state called Telangana.

The state mainly depends on the agricultural sector. GDP of the 120 billion $
The growth rate is 15.3%(2018_19) it stands in 9th  place in the country. GDP per capita income 2100$.

Major rivers of the state are Krishna Godavari, Tungabhadra.

1 .State has airports 6 functional & 3 under construction

2.state has the 2nd longest coastline of 974 km in the eastern peninsular India, which accounts for 12% of the country's total coastline with one major (Operational) and 14 non–major (5 Operational) ports, with six ports under development in the PPP mode.

3.state has railway connectivity and has 2 railway zones south central railway & eastcoastal railway.

Andhra Pradesh has an extensive road network of 123,334 km (76,636 mi) with various types of roads such as, national highways, state highways, district road,s etc.

Devotional places:
Tirupthi, srisailam, Vijayawada Kanak Durga, Srikalahasti, Mantralayam, Lepakshi, Mahanandhi, yaganti these are the most viewed places by the tourist.

Araku valley,Talakona forests, Horsley Hills, Belum caves.
